I started writing in my early twenties having my first poems published in 'Poetry Monthly' and a few anthologies before turning to play writing and screen-writing. My first play 'The Dead Moon' about smugglers in the Fen's post Napoleonic era and combining history with folk tales, was commissioned in 2007 and staged at the Aldeburgh Festival in the summer of 2008, the first non-operatic play ever to be performed there. Since then I have completed a second called 'Cadiere' about the Girl Saint of Toulon, the last witch trial in France and the world's first trial by media. Recently I have written for 'The Real Brian Blessed' Warner Bros/Comedybox, which was reviewed by Time Out as 'One of the best online comedy sketches of 2008'. At present I am writing a comedy series for Radio 4 and developing a second called 'The Diabolical Anderson's'. I am currently in production with Black Bull Films for the short ghost film 'Arundel'.
